Rural

Small businesses are the backbone of many rural communities, providing jobs for residents and supporting economic activity. Despite their importance, many rural businesses encounter challenges unique to their location, including smaller pools of potential workers and more substantial supply chain issues. However, one key ingredient for business success is access to capital, and the Small Business Credit Survey finds that, in any given survey year, rural firms typically are more likely than their urban counterparts to be approved for financing.
